The Musical Legends Return

The legendary Blackwoods returned to the area for a TIWABA Civic and Cultural Event on Sunday, July 25, 2004.

The event began with a welcome by Ron Blackwood and Dave Stults to everyone in attendance for coming out and Ron promised the crowd an outstanding performance by the group.

Next, the Blackwoods took the stage and performed two sets of classic, inspiring pieces ranging from Gospel to some Elvis tributes. The concert was a musical event featuring two award winning groups:

Through the years, Ron, R.W., and members of the Blackwood Brothers have sold millions of recordings world wide. They have won 8 Grammy Awards, 27 Dove Awards, and 5 All American Music Awards. Elvis, the Statler Brothers, and Oak Ridge Boys are among the roll call of stars who have said The Blackwood Brothers inspired them to sing. 

Bill Gaither calls the Blackwood Family “A Living Legend”. They have appeared on “Music City Tonight,” “Crook & Chase,” “The Statler Brothers Show,” and all of the major television networks including CBS, ABC, NBC, TNN, FOX, and TBN! Ron, Shelley, R.W., Donna, Steve and Paul appear live in the all new Blackwood Brothers Breakfast Show, in the beautiful Smoky Mountains at the state-of-the-art, multi-million dollar theater, Black Bear Jamboree in Pigeon Forge, TN.

Their music has touched millions around the world, and Sunday afternoon touched the entire crowd and brought them to their feet many times throughout the show. The sound...the harmony...the legacy...The Blackwoods!
